REACT RIGHT SWIM SCHOOL

Registration is now open! Contact us for details.

We are currently accepting registrations for our summer swim school. Enjoy summer swim lessons at our heated outdoor pool or yours! Working with our experienced instructors/instructor trainers, your child will benefit from small class sizes (3 children maximum in the learn to swim programs). If your child is experiencing difficulty in completing a level due to a particular stroke, our staff is able to spend more time on completing the item with your child or alternatively you can book private swim lessons.

Classes are offered daily for one week sessions. Most students will typically require two weeks to complete a level. Once your child has completed all of the skills they will automatically begin working on skills from the next level, even if this occurs mid-session.

Prices for lessons at our location are $95.00 + HST per child/one week group session.  Private lessons are $125.00 + HST per child.

We proudly offer the Lifesaving Society Swim for Life learn to swim programs and leadership programs. Students can complete their Bronze Star, Bronze Medallion and Bronze Cross along with their Swim for Life Instructor award and Lifesaving Instructor award.

Lifesaving Swim for Life Instructor:

Red Cross has wrapped up it’s Swimming and Water Safety Lessons throughout Canada.  We along with the local municipalities will be switching to the Lifesaving Swim Program.  We have 2 Lifesaving Swim Instructor Trainers on staff.  We will be offering the Lifesaving Swim Instructor course this summer to ensure students are ready to move into the new program if they are hired for fall work.

The cost will be $330.00 + HST and includes materials and examination fees.

Students will get a swim lesson daily and learn a variety of aquatic sports including: synchro, water polo, snorkelling, and lifeguard competition.

Bronze Star is for students who are ready to go on to Lifesaving Leadership and learn the first steps to becoming a lifeguard.  Successful completion of this course allows students to register in Bronze Medallion without meeting the age 13 prerequisite.

Bronze Medallion is the first step on the leadership ladder towards becoming certified as a lifeguard and swim instructor.  Students will learn how to perform water rescues will ensuring their safety throughout.  They will also become certified in Emergency First Aid with CPR B.

Bronze Cross is the last step prior to taking their National Lifeguard and Swim Instructor Awards.  Students will learn assistant lifeguard skills that will prepare them to work as an Assistant Lifeguard (must be 16 to work with this award) and will allow them to move on to take their National Lifeguard (15 years to register) and their Lifesaving Swim Instructor (15 years to register).

Please note:  In order to register for National Lifeguard students will need to complete their Standard First Aid Award.
