Canadian Red Cross Babysitting Course
Students ages 11-15 are invited to participate in the Canadian Red Cross Babysitting Course. Youth will learn everything they need to know to start their own babysitting business, including: how to care for children of all ages, managing behaviour, first aid emergencies and how to safely find jobs. Students will receive the Canadian Red Cross First Aid manual. Youth will need to bring a peanut free lunch and a doll or teddy bear that is suitable to practice diapering on.

This course is a blended learning first aid course. Students must complete an online component prior to attending the course. The online link from the Canadian Red Cross can take up to 12 hours to generate (but typically much faster). Face shields must be worn at all times. Price includes a CPR pocket mask - $10.00.

This course is a blended learning first aid course. An online component must be completed prior to attending the in class session. The invitation code for the online component will come from the Canadian Red Cross and can take up to 12 hours to generate (typically much faster). Due to COVID-19 regulations you must be double vaccinated in order to attend this course. Face shields must be worn at all times. Price includes a CPR pocket mask ($10.00).

Students ages 10+ will learn everything they need to know to safely stay home on their own for short periods of time. Students will be provided with a manual, will learn to make a healthy snack, and make a key chain. Practice of simple first aid skills and how to manage difficulties will also be a part of the learning segment of this course.
